Discover, Share, Play Anywhere
SIMMER is a place to discover and share 3D content on the Web.
Today we’re opening up SIMMER.io to Unity WebGL uploads!
But, but…
There’s lots of places to put your game up on the web, you say? What makes SIMMER different?
1. Embed your game anywhere
Focus your time on making the best game possible, not on deploying to the web. Once your game is on SIMMER, embedding on another site is a simple copy/paste.
Check out Color Switch Clone, embedded directly in this blog. Click the play button to play the game.
Once you upload to SIMMER, click the small embed icon (it looks like <>), to get your code:
2. SIMMER makes uploads incredibly easy
Like animated GIF easy:
Once you’ve created a WebGL build with Unity, uploading to SIMMER is drag n’ drop.
Creating a WebGL build in Unity is easy too. Check out our 60s video.

3. SIMMER is fast
We’re using a global CDN, HTTPS and HTTP2 to host your content. This means you get optimal download times whether your audience is in Deleware, Denmark or Dubai.
4. SIMMER has a clean interface
SIMMER uses material design and the site has a similar look and feel to a popular video sharing site.
If you’ve played some Unity3D games across the web you may have noticed this gnarly footer:
SIMMER automatically cleans that up for you.
5. SIMMER is responsive
SIMMER uploads look great at any screen resolution as demonstrated in the video below:
Unity WebGL games are currently too slow for mobile, but we’ll be ready when they are fast enough!
6. SIMMER can get you noticed
Your game on the web is a zero friction platform. There are no downloads or installers. Just share a link and you’re done.
When you submit your game to Bloggers, Youtubers or Review sites, you can get an edge by sharing a link directly on the web.
7. SIMMER is completely free
SIMMER.io is completely free for developers. There are, of course plenty of free options for website hosting, but it can be a hassle to get them set up and some require a credit card to get started.
SIMMER is designed for game developers by game developers.
SIMMER Founder’s Club
We’re still working out the details, but there will be perks for those of you who sign up and upload a game, demo, or asset by November 15.
These will include a permanent founder’s badge on the site, early access to new features, and free access to training materials.
Don’t delay, sign up today!
